Jay Cutler wants out, I say.....

Good bye and good luck Jay Cutler. You have managed to finally get the Denver brass to officially put you on the trading block, when it was once just a rumor. Even if it was just a rumor who cares? Countless times I’ve heard or seen you quoted saying “I know how this league works it’s a business.” All of this prior to your most recent pity party Mr. Vanderbilt. Well seeing that the NFL is a business welcome to the reality of it, and amongst all of those tough guy “it’s a business” acts you’ve put on, seems to me your feelings may have gotten hurt. Denver’s front office tried to reach you for almost 2 weeks and you can’t even respond to say “look, what’s done is done trade me.” Skipping workouts that could cost you 100,000 dollars in bonuses? Grow up man, you’re supposed to be a professional, between you and T.O. clogging my screen my March Madness has been interrupted. This is the guy they ran Jake Plummer out of town for? Get real, what have you ever won to demand such respect, maybe you should show some first. You called out Brandon Marshall last off-season for his work ethic and off the field actions, what’s your excuse? Last season you were in the worst conference in the NFL (AFC WEST) and now you get to go rebuild a career that never got started somewhere else. So you’re a Pro-Bowler and you’ve got some good numbers, but you haven’t won anything at the college or pro level, at least Jake got to the AFC Championship game. You were lucky to be drafted into a successful franchise, now I hope you go somewhere you can get a real taste of losing. I’d say trade him to the Browns but that will just bring another snot nosed brat to the Broncos in Brady Quinn so that won’t work. I’ll be glad when this all over for both of us, because the Final 4 is this weekend, and the NBA Playoffs are right around the corner.

No clear front-runner in 5A SIC

With Centennial's loss to the surging Vallivue Falcons last night, and Borah's loss last week to cross-town rival Boise, I think it's safe to say there is no clear favorite right now to win the league. It reminds me of SEC or BIG 12 football, wins and loses add up and at the end of the day we will see who the last two teams standing are for the conference title. As of now though the crown is up for grabs.

Just last week Capital defeated Timberline to move into a three-way tie with Centennial and Eagle for tops in the league. That following Friday the Eagles were up ended by the defending 5A champion Vallivue Falcons whom are on a four-game winning streak and host #1 Eagle (9-3) this Friday.

In my opinion the conference title could be won by any of the top six teams while the others vie for State Tournament berths as well. Hear this though, whoever represents the 5A SIC in State this year will have a chance to make a serious run at the championship. The 5A SIC is the best conference in the state and I won't be surprised when they flex their muscles. Eagle has a one game lead over Borah, Centennial, and Capital whom all have four losses. Not far behind is Boise, Timberline, and Vallivue with 5.

Borah and Capital have both been inconsistent this year. This Friday's game will be HUGE as not only are they rivals, but they're also playing for a good seat in the District Tournament. A win is a win this time of year and both teams need one to stay in the mix.

Timberline looks to bounce back from a two-game skid when they visit Meridian (FRI) and Mountain View (SAT). They should pick up two wins over the Meridian schools to stay in the race.

The surprising Boise Braves will have to keep the surprises coming as they no doubt have the busiest schedule of any team this week with three games against worthy opponents. Tonight they travel to Capital, return home Friday to host Centennial and hope to finish strong as they head back on the road to visit 9-3 Eagle Saturday night.

Although Eagle stands alone, for now, at the number one spot it doesnt appear to get any easier for the Mustangs. Friday they visit the red-hot Vallivue Falcons, and return back to the stable to host a hungry Braves team the next day.

The two games I'm looking forward to the most though are both being played Friday night in Borah @ Capital and Eagle @ Vallivue. I'm still up in the air, much like the conference, on which game I'm going to. Right now i'm leaning towards the Capital game, it's a heated rivalry with playoff implications. I'm a Coach Chatterton fan though and wouldn't mind seeing how the his troops prepared to face the lone numero uno in Eagle. Should be some great hoops all across the 5A SIC coming up, see you there.
