IdahoSports.com is looking state-wide for experienced play-by-play announcers to help expand their already-established GameStreams division.

IdahoSports.com is looking for experienced play-by-play announcers/sales people to expand their already-established GameStreams division.

Sales is an essential component to the job, but we will help you every step of the way to be successful. You only sell the games you do and you only do the games you sell. You decide how much you get paid per game! We handle invoicing, collections, payments, etc.

Make great money and have the unique opportunity to become "the official voice" of the schools and teams you cover! If you are someone who has been announcing games for 50 years, in college to be a broadcaster or even still in high school learning the ropes, we want to hear from you! All qualified applications will be considered.

If you're interested in helping IdahoSports.com expand their GameStreams division to include this new state-wide sports broadcasting network, get valuable broadcast experience and make some really good money, contact Jeff Duncan, Director of Broadcast Development, by e-mail at jduncan@idahosports.com. Include a short resume, references, why you think you would be a great fit as an IdahoSports.com Broadcaster and a 3-5 minute sound check/demo if possible. He will respond to you with any questions he might have or to set up a phone interview.

If you are chosen you will need to have a reliable laptop, announcer headset and wireless Internet card. A very small investment to basically start your own business as a sports announcer on IdahoSports.com!

We will begin taking applications immediately. A limited number of qualified applicants will be approved. Serious inquiries only please.

I have been a varsity coach of football, basketball and softball throughout the state of Idaho and have a lot of knowledge of many of the schools in Idaho. Where do I get an application?

Will you do any small town schools on a regular basis? Tournaments are coming up and if possible nice for any school with an announcer to have all there Football and Basketball games broadcast.

Spencer, the idea is to get as many broadcasters out doing games as possible. I want to have people covering big schools and small schools. The coverage we will be able to offer depends solely on where we have broadcasters.

maybe u need to look at up grading your equipment first, cause the webcasts have sucked video streams are choppy, or nothing at all, cant hear the broadcasters that are broadcasting the game unless you turn your volume all the way up, then when you go to a sponser video the sound blows you out of the room, come on get this stuff figured out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: IdahoSports.com is expanding their GameStreams division!

Paul,

You seem to be concentrating on quantity, I don't see very much value in a one camera shoot. And when one person runs the entire technical end of the the production as you did at the 2010 basketball chamapionships, it looks pretty poor when you are dealing with the computer and not able to follow the action on the court. May I ask what your background in television is?

Re: IdahoSports.com is expanding their GameStreams division!

Chuck,
You are saying it would be better to only cover a few games with multiple cameras instead of multiple games with just one? I am guessing the athletes, parents and families that watched the additional games we were able to do would strongly disagree with you. You may have noticed that the games are free to watch. The value of being able to watch a son, daughter or grandchild to someone who can't be at the game should be very apparent.

What is my background in television? Well, I have been watching TV for a little over 35 years. I have carried a few TVs during various moves, both of friends, family and my own and I did a report on the history of television when I was a junior in high school. I was actually on TV a couple of times too, if that counts.

Feel free to email directly with any questions. paul@idahosports.com

I find it incredible that people complain about IdahoSports as much as they do. People from across the world get to watch their family members for FREE. Is Idaho Sports perfect, of coure not, nothing is. I am sure legitimate criiticisim is welcome but come on people.

Love the answer Paul. It reminds me of a line in the classic movie Groundhog Day. Bill Murray is taking a piano lesson and his teacher says, "pretty good for your first lesson". Murray says, "Well, my father was a piano mover so...."

Re: IdahoSports.com is expanding their GameStreams division!

IdahoSports is awesome! I haven't heard that many complaints. What eastidaho fan said about IdahoSports has some decent points, but the fact that we can stay tuned into sports from such a small community is huge! This way I can take my Cardinals season tickets with me on the road by watching IdahoSports, suuuch a great value

and Groundhog Day is a great movie! "... Don't drive angry"
