Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

I think you need to look at some players from Priest River

Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

I'm sure not familiar with all those that are listed, but in 4A, although they are not the tallest, will be Matt Clark from Skyview and Jon Pulsifer from Twin Falls. This will be a very good matchup and a highly likely one.

Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

Watched a game the other night and can honestly say I have never seen such a baller as the Krosch kid from Mackay. I know it's 1A but he can play!!

Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

Since the East has dominated in number of state championships over the last 5 years, you would think that your list would include more than 3 of the 40 from that side of the state???

Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

Love this feedback!

I'm familiar with McKay. Great point guard that understands the game and one of the more advanced freshman I've seen. He's got big shoes to fill in Tanner Higham but I think he can definitely do it.

I haven't seen Krosch play but I've heard great things. His brother Kelvin was special on the court and my guess is that Kole has learned a lot from him.

I saw that Holbrook, Weimer and Salesky had great games last week. The three averaged about 50+ points and 20+ boards per game.

As for Hubsmith, Minico can thank him and teammate Mark Leon for knocking off #1 ranked Twin Falls last week. Pretty solid game; wish I could have been there.

Hopefully we'll get a chance to see all of these kids in one place on March 6!

Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

I'm not sure how you could narrow your list to simply 40 players... Idaho has some incredible talent. I would agree with each of the players you've got listed, but would have to say Eagle being ranked #1 in both they SIC and State they have a DEEP team... Daved Gillmor, a junior is statically is holding strong with the three listed, then you have Jeff Slonaker who has been a study strong player this year, and let's not forget about Cory Cramer who has stepped in and up as of late for Eagle.... The whole team contriubtes...

Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

I'm Minico Biased, but definitely think Kevin Jurgensmier and Hubsmith should be there. Besides Pulsifer and Pearce, others I've seen play who impressed me are Ryan Blauer from Burley, and Alex Ridgeway from Canyon Ridge in Twin.

Re: 40 players to keep an eye on

I know Mackay's Kole Krosch is 1A, but this kid flat can play. If it wernt for a couple of blowout that he played very little in he would have unbelievable stats. Kole is averaging 26 points a game with a couple of high 36, 38 point games. He averages over 4 assists,8.5 rebounds one of the area leader in steals and blocks. I know its against 1a and 2a teams but if it where not for a football scholarship he would play d1 college----My opinion he is the best player in south east idaho. as of late his game has become passing ,he has 2 double figure assist games in the last week. Pick your poison double and triple team him and the teammates are rewarded. Kole has two teammate shooting around 50% from three land, most of the time wide open looks.
