The Basketball Hall of Fame will bring in five new members today.
Michael Jordan (Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards) headlines the crew. The man that is rumored to have been cut in high school is arguably the greatest player to ever step on the hardwood.
David Robinson (San Antonio Spurs) is also widely known for his philanthropy and humanity.
John Stockton (Utah Jazz) might be the quietest of the class and probably, at least early in his basketball career, seemed like the least likely to make it to the HOF. But the NBA steals and assist leader certainly deserves his place in the Hall.
Jerry Sloan (Utah Jazz) and Vivian Stringer (Cheyney State, Iowa, Rutgers) enter the Hall of Fame as coaches. Sloan has made 15 consecutive appearances to the NBA playoffs. Stringer was the first coach to lead three different teams to the NCAA Final Four.
