Does anyone really care anymore about steroids & HGH  in baseball?  I listened to Roger Clemens this week and he sounded even less credible than before.  I am at the point that I don't care if someone took a PED, I just don't want them to pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.  Take all the PED's you want, just don't lie about it.

The NBA playoffs have been great this season.  It has renewed my interest in the NBA.  I got real tired of the NBA for several years.   I was tired of people telling me how great A.I and Stephen Marbury where.  Colin Cowherd talked about this on his show and he was right on target.  It's not a coincedence that as soon as A.I., Marbury, Steve Francis, etc are traded the teams they leave get better.  They are "me" guys and as long as they get their 20 and 10 they don't care.

Brett Favre will be a Viking this season if his X-Rays and MRI are ok.  This will make the Vikes one of the odds on favorites to make it to the Super Bowl.  I am not sure why people are killing Favre for still wanting to play.  He is only 39!  All he has done since grade school is play football.  What's he going to do if he retires, paint the den, pick out drapes for the living room?  I say play as long as you want Brett!

What do Mike Shanahan, John Gruden, Bill Cowher & Marty Schottenheimer have in common?  All are Hall of Fame pro football coaches without jobs.  It's incredible these guys are not coaching.  It seems the in thing in the NFL now is to hire young-unproven coaches.  I predict once these guys go 4-12 or 5-11 the Grudens, Cowhers, Schottenheimer's, etc. will be hired again.  The NFL, like most pro leagues, is a copy cat league.

The Yankees have a 201 million dollar payroll and this is what they put on the field?  I have always said the Yankees are not a well run ballclub.  They can throw millions of dollars around but it doesn't mean they are well run.  Cashman will be feeling the heat this year.

Re: MLB, NBA, NFL & Favre

I live in Denver and I have rooted for the Nuggets for some time now. But I am embarrassed by what I see. I agree that they became more team oriented when they got rid of A.I. and brought in a classy guy like Chauncey Billups. But I have never seen anyone act like J.R. Smith. I'm tired of trying to explain to my 4 1/2 year old why he is acting the way he is. I have never seen such poor sportsmanship and narcissism in my life. He is worse than Iverson. Kenyon Martin and Carmelo Anthony aren't much better. I've watched quite a few games this year and I have finally had enough. The NBA is, without a doubt, made up of the most narcissistic and ego-centric athletes in the world. So many of them suffer from a bonifide delusional mental disorder that is demonstrated by their obvious feelings and actions of personal omnipotence and grandeur! It is all about me! It is still a "me" league and will only get worse. I guess that is why college football is my favorite time of year, followed closely by March Madness. And I still love high school sports. I understand that all sports at all levels have some athletes who will act like the NBAers of today, but in my opinion the NBA is defined by its ego-centrism. I sure hope some things never change. All that would be left is NASCAR - and I'm not a fan.
