J Bates at KBCI-TV in Boise reported Wednesday night that the IHSAA voted against a proposal for across-the-board cuts in the number of athletic activities, but will discuss it again at its next meeting as well.
By then, according to Bates, the IHSAA and school administrators will have a better idea of what budget constraints will be in place for the 2009-2010 academic year.
In the same meeting, the board did pass a moratorium on adding any sanctioned activities for the next two years.
