Feb 22

Both teams came out to play Satuday night and it was clear from the body language and electric environment that this was an elimination game. Both sides were well represented in the stands and for about three quarters, this was a good one.

Timberline led for most of the game and both teams were hitting shots. The Wolves, though their inside game seemed improved this night, most of the offense was coming on outside shooting. For the Mustangs, they were getting a lot of transition baskets and shots going toward the goal.

Ultimately, Eagle's presure wore down Timberline and the deeper shots gave way to easier layups. Eagle would go on to win 73-57, though both teams put forth great efforts. I also thought that Jameson  Shaw did a great job off the bench for Eagle.

Eagle will now play Mountain View at Borah on Tuesday, February 24 at 6:00 PM. The winner goes on to state; the loser will have to win their next district game for the right to travel to Grangeville for a play-in game.
