Technically an upset, (though I'm not sure there are upsets in the 5A SIC) the Braves beat the Mustangs 64-56. From a fan's perspective, it seemed like the two teams were in different places. Boise was fired up and ready play, dive on every ball and do whatever it took to compete. Eagle appeared to be in a daze, almost sleepwalking through the first three quarters.

Boise built up an 11 point lead late in the third quarter and held a similiar margin through most of the fourth. Eagle made a late surge but credit the Braves for showing maturity and sealing the win.

Boise will now play Capital in a "winner to state" game on Saturday at Capital High School, 6:00 PM tip-off. Eagle will play Timberline on Saturday at Borah High School, 6:00 PM, in an elimination game. I'm missing the bracket from 2006 but if Capital wins, it will be the first time since 2005 they have gone to state. For the Braves, the first time this century.

For those that are interested, I've been doing live updates from the games we go to. To see an example, check out the "how to" page by Clicking Here. It uses the stuff from Twitter. If you are hesitant about Twitter, don't worry, so was I. It's actually kind of easy to get set up and then we take care of it from there. If you are currious to see how this all works, we'll be at the Boise State / Idaho game tonight and I'll be sending updates from the game.

Re: #8 Boise vs. #1 Eagle boys

How come 1there is no talk about Mountain View lately? They have won the last 10 of their 12 games. Wins that include Eagle, Centennial (twice), and Vallivue. They gave Vallivue their first loss at home all season on Senior night. Brock McDermott is leading them and dont be surprised if they get a high seed at state.
